MBS Awarded Bussing Contract for Iron Knob Mining Area

May 27, 2014

Iron Knob Bus Transportation

Mine Bus Services has been awarded the contract for the transportation of mine workers from Whyalla to the recently reopened Iron Knob Mine.

Iron Knob is the birthplace of the steel industry and was once home to the largest commercially-viable quantity of iron ore in Australia. Mining and civil contracting firm BGC has been awarded a contract to restart operations at Arrium Mining's South Australian Iron Knob mine.

Workers travel daily to the mine site in comfortable and clean busses and coaches limiting the number of light vehicle movements on road. Environmentally MBS is striving for the lowest impact in terms of emissions and the highest impact on safety. Fewer light vehicles equates to fewer fatigue related accidents and a much higher safety level.

Mine Bus Services is proud to be associated with BGC Contracting and Arrium Mining complementing the smooth operation and transportation of personnel to and from the Iron Knob Mine Area
